Derek has an affinity for abstracted dark art, mostly black and grey tattoos with lots of texture and detail and sometimes with pops of colour. He has been tattooing for 16+ years and is a multi international award winning artist, with awards from major Canadian conventions such as Toronto NIX tattoo convention, and even winning multiple awards overseas in countries like India. Derek enjoys tattooing dark imagery such as bio-organic, skulls, demons, blackwork, etc.. as well as more uplifting and less dark imagery like scenery landscapes, wildlife portraits, abstract water colour, flowers, etc…
He cut his teeth doing walk-in tattoos at fast paced street shops all over Toronto and the GTA alike, and so is well versed at tattooing almost any subject matter.
